TRAMPOLINE & TUMBLING
TEAM
The Flip Shop USA Gymnastics Trampoline & Tumbling competitive team is made up of Levels 4-Elite. Athletes competing Levels 1-7 are members of our compulsory team. These levels are progressive in nature building on the skills required at the previous levels. The compulsory levels provide a foundation of discipline, strong basic skills, and teamwork. T&T athletes can compete a different level on each event so athletes are placed into a "group" with similar levels for their season. Levels 8-Elite is comprised of athletes who begin working on "optional" skills for the first time through individualized routines. All athletes perform on the state, regional and national levels.
Flip Stars : 4-7 hours/week
Flip Stars consists of athletes levels 6 and below between the ages of 8-12 years old. Athletes are selected from our Shooting Stars Pre-Team based on recommendations from coaches, strength, and the desire to learn given the chance to compete. Flip Stars attend approximately 8-10 competitions starting in November and ending in July. Flip Stars is a year round program to maintain and gain needed skills to progress to new levels. This team competes across the Midwest and also attends MO State Championships, Region 4 Championships, and Stars & Stripes Championships each year.
Twist Stars : 6-9 hours/week
Twist Stars consists of athletes levels 7-Elite between the ages of 8 years old & up. Athletes on this team have mobilized (received a certain score) at competitions to achieve this level; by using what the athlete learned on the compulsory levels they build the skills and mindset for this team. Twist Stars attend approximately 8-12 competitions starting in November and ending in July. Twist Stars is a year round program to maintain and gain needed skills to progress to new levels. This team competes across the Midwest and also attends VIP Classic, Elite Challenge, MO State Championships, Region 4 Championships, and National Championships each year.
